I started programming because I wanted to prove to myself that I can do it. And when I did, it was just too late to stop.

People often say that I’m a natural perfectionist and I think it might be true. For me, it’s important to know that everything in a system is done right. So when I see some issues beyond a client’s request, I always suggest improving them too. I’m also persistent so I never quit in the middle of the task or project. It’s true that finding a solution to a problem might be challenging but nothing is impossible.

Previously, I worked as a software development team lead for another company and I liked it. I’m not afraid of taking on responsibility or being in charge of the core part of a project. My ability to notice details, understand the dependencies, and think critically has always assisted me in doing my work. Plus, I think of myself as a quite scrupulous person which is a helpful characteristic for almost any profession.

In my spare time, I like reading books, cycling, and meeting with my friends. And, of course, I adore my son.

I love responsibility. Taking full ownership of my work means I'm in control of what my day will be like tomorrow. This means stability and a manageable workload, and it's all down to me.

Web development always stimulates and I'm constantly learning. I try to keep our processes mobile and this helps me understand new technologies that develop every year. After all, if you don't keep up with the times, then you will be left behind.

During my time at Flexi IT, I have carefully curated a team of people with various skills and talents to keep on top of an ever-changing world of technology. Good technology is one thing, but you need people who understand the craft. I make sure all members of the team understand how important they are in making every project a success because I can't do it without them. In my free time I enjoy the outdoors, seeing family and of course, travelling.

If you can not compete with the system you need to lead it. The more the world develops, the more people try to automate everything. Do what's convenient for yourself.

I like to automate things that are around me. Where programming is concerned, if you do a lot of repetitive actions then you're doing something wrong.

In my free time I love to play board games with my friends. I like people with a good sense of humour and I'm someone who approaches situations with humour, it helps a lot at work.

Every year for the last 20 years I've re-read Daniel Kiz's book "Flowers for Algeron." This gives me a good understanding about how I've changed throughout the year.

Sharing my knowledge, skills and experience is integral to my work. It is very important that not only the developer understands the essence of the task, but also the client is aware of how we will implement the process, then our actions and the clients' expectations will coincide.

I enjoy being out of my comfort zone because it helps me deal with pressure and I try to apply this into my work; even in a stressful situation, it allows me to propose solutions.

I like to spend as much time as possible being active and that includes playing volleyball and doing yoga.

My older brother is also a programmer. I remember watching him work and I thought "I want to do this." When it came to choosing a profession I knew I wanted to go into programming.

Although a lot of my role at Flexi IT is managing a team, I continue to program in order not to lose the skill. We are building a mentoring system in a company where employees who are more experienced help those who have skills to learn and this motivates me to keep up with programming because I can pass on my knowledge to others.

In my line of work, I have seen people with no experience excel purely because they have the desire and determination to achieve great results in this field. Therefore, I will always motivate those who really want to create and are not afraid to start a new challenge.

Outside of work I try to spend as much time as possible doing sports and enjoying nature. Sometimes I think about the fact that if I hadn’t been engaged in development and programming then I would like to lead hiking adventures. I like to explore new paths, some that are undiscovered by others, and my dream would be to become a pioneer in this field.

I’ve always liked math and logic. Solving complex problems has been my favorite activity since childhood. So, when it came to choosing a professional path, I started looking for an area that would allow me to apply my skills and realize my potential to the fullest. It turned out that IT is just a perfect fit.

I know that many programmers prefer to build software solutions from scratch and don’t want to take up projects at the later stages of development. But this is not my case. Projects in progress indeed have much more restrictions since some crucial decisions were made by other teams and there are a lot of aspects that are hard to change. Yet, this is exactly what makes the task interesting for me.

I love my job. So it’s not easy for me to imagine what profession I could have chosen if programming hadn’t been an option for some reason. But I think it would be something that requires taking full responsibility for everything I do. At Flexi IT, I can see how my decisions influence the entire project so I can feel that I’m a co-creator of a product.

Besides coding, I enjoy history, sports, and active rest. I also dream of visiting the US one day. Hopefully, I’ll do this in the near future.

My way into programming turned out to be quite difficult but very interesting.

The first programs I wrote in school years were on Pascal, it was very exciting and unusual. The most unusual thing was that when you write something in a text editor and only after the successful launch of the program, you get the desired result.

Later on, I studied Technology of Aviation Engines at university. There were a lot of interesting and complex subjects, but one of them brought me back to the path of programming. Then we developed small programs for optimising the workflow in Visual Basic. The study of this subject was easy, because I already had a basic knowledge of programming.

After university, some of my friends started working in the field of web development, while I was working on a specialty at an aviation plant. One day, one of our disputes made me think about changing my profession to a web developer.

One of my principles in life is: "The quality of the task should never suffer from a lack of time or knowledge."

The world of programming is very deep and creative. Over time, you realise that in the past, you didn’t find the most optimal solution for accomplishing a particular task for lack of knowledge and experience. That's why I often educate myself by reading the trends of modern technologies and analyse the previously written code.

I often have to evaluate tasks. This is probably the most difficult part in my work because a biased assessment can let the customer down, but the quality of the task should not suffer from tight deadlines.

For me, personal communication with the client is so important. When you understand what the client wants to achieve, it becomes much easier to offer solutions and lead the development.

Most of all I do not like routine. Therefore, I am very glad that our projects are always different. The tasks are varied and the needs of clients are mixed, which makes my work exciting and fresh.

My friends pushed me into programming but I naturally found it very interesting to see how sites are made, so they did not have to persuade me for too long. During this time, I also had the opportunity to become a cinema technician and this topic still fascinates me to this day, so I've kept it as a hobby.

Self-education and full concentration are the most important qualities of a programmer. With so much information I need to take in every day, I don’t focus on any particular sites, I’m just interested in the end result.

In my free time I like to switch off and play on my game consoles and read new books, especially detective stories; I find it interesting to see how the course of many events leads to the ending and I love how intertwined everything is. I'm impressed with how it's written.

When people do programming for a long time, their thinking starts to work differently. My task as a project manager is to help to find common ground between a client and a programmer, so that the programmer understands the task and the client understands what the team is working on. I always stand at the junction of two worlds. During my career I've learned how to quickly switch between tasks and re-arrange my style depending on whether I'm meeting a client or a programmer.

Programming is a very streamlined processes in your head and it helps to think more logically. At some point, this magic just happens by itself, it is very difficult to explain.

I try to spend my free time with my family. I also love to read, listen to audiobooks and audio performances. I like the cold season more because I find it more intense to cope with the heat. Therefore, walking in the fall or winter with an audiobook is very relaxing.

My friend Vlad, who worked as a programmer at the time, pushed me into the same profession a few years ago because he felt I had the right skills for this.

I like when I know every line of code on a project. This is very important when you need to fix something quickly.

Before creating Flexi IT, I used to work for other companies. I found that there wasn't a lot of growth available for programmers and that's why I wanted to build Flexi IT. My focus was to form a company where programmers could influence the development process and not work on ready-made patterns. For me, if you let people take responsibility for their work, they make better code and this means more initiative, making the project more viable.

I love to be among people in crowded places. There is a stereotype that programmers are detached introverts but I don't agree. When people spend a lot of time working with a machine, it can become difficult to express their thoughts in a social manner. When I first noticed this, I put emphasis on more communication with people because in a workplace, you have to be able to work with others.
